The Brokerage is proud to sponsor Nine News Weekend Sports Presenter, Michael Atkinson, as he takes on searing temperatures, sand dunes and no showers to raise funds and awareness for Youngcare.
From the 21st to the 29th of May, Michael and 13 other brave trekkers will walk more than 250 kilometres through the Simpson Desert in the name of helping thousands of young Australians living with high care needs.
There is a residential and care crisis throughout Australia for young people with high care needs. Young Australians are being left behind in aged care, hospital rooms, rehabilitation centres – inappropriate accommodation that is not suitable for their age. Michael and his fellow foot soldiers are aiming to change this by walking the rolling red dunes and raising much needed funds.
